Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy
Last updated October 2026
Washington's My Health My Data Act and similar state laws ask companies to explain how they handle “consumer health data.” Because Recovery Streak is a recovery app, we treat everything it holds about you, including the fact that you have an account, as consumer health data.
What we collect, and why
- Account details (email address, display name, time zone): to run your account and count days in your own time zone.
- Your recovery date: to show your days in recovery. It's kept on the profile you share with AmityConnect.
- Daily check-ins, check-in notes, and slips you choose to log: to keep your streak, Grace Days, and history.
- Private reflections and your focus area: so you can keep them, and so the app can reflect what you're working on.
- Milestones and rewards you've reached or claimed: to give you your rewards.
Where it comes from
- You, as you use Recovery Streak.
- AmityConnect, our sister site: check-ins you make there, and the recovery date on your shared profile.
- Your browser: your time zone.
What we share, and with whom
- AmityConnect (amityconnect.com), our affiliate: your account record, recovery date, check-ins, and slips, so both sites show the same streak and days in recovery.
- RecoveryHome (recoveryhome.com), our affiliate: your account record (including your email address and ad choice), to sign you in when you follow a link there.
Your rights
- See it: ask what consumer health data we have about you, and for a list of every third party and affiliate we've shared it with, with their contact details.
- Delete it: ask us to delete your consumer health data. We'll delete it from our systems (and from backups within six months) and pass the request on to the affiliates and companies we shared it with.
To make a request, email hello@recoverystreak.app with “Health data request” in the subject line. We'll answer within 45 days; if we need more time, we'll tell you within those 45 days and take up to 45 more. Requests are free up to twice a year. We may ask you to confirm it's really you, but we won't make you create an account.
If we turn down your request, you can appeal by replying to our answer. We'll respond in writing within 45 days, and if we still say no, we'll tell you how to contact the Washington State Attorney General (atg.wa.gov/file-complaint).
